AIG is proud to fund one off projects that support people in community and we are guided by our board, who as elected members know where support is needed on the ground.
We prioritise support for educational ventures as we firmly believe in education as a pathway for ending poverty and welfare dependency.
Past projects funded:
- Nitjpurra School trip to Great Barrier Reef
In January 2019, 15 students from the tiny town of Pigeon Hole west of Katherine travelled to Cairns to spend six days studying the Great Barrier Reef.
- Waminari Youth Festival
The Waminari Youth Festival was organised to create a positive environment and bring families together to talk about issues threatening the well being of young people. The festival was set up in response to the unacceptable levels of youth suicide in the region.
